The acronym O.L.L.A.S. means Opportunity Leading to Lifelong Academic Success. OLLAS is a new private, not for profit, K-5 school designed for students to receive a high-quality education in their least restrictive environment. Our students come from a wide range of communities within Miami-Dade County. Our number one priority is to continuously create an environment where students will have opportunities that will ultimately lead to academic success. This will involve nurturing students' intellectual, emotional, physical, spiritual, and creative needs. The vast majority of our students are on free and reduced lunch. There is a common misconception that students from lower socio-economic backgrounds do not have the financial means to attend private school. Now, thanks to scholarship programs such as Step Up for Students and Mckay together with monetary donations, private school is now affordable.

We are creating an environment that will be conducive to exposing students to the following careers: Technology, Legal and Medical. As students’ progress to higher grades, they will have a better idea as to which career path they are likely to choose.

At that point, students will be given electives that will be centered around their chosen careers to expose them to the basic framework and foundational skills that will likely lead to academic success in their chosen field of study. Although our current student population grade levels range from K-5, we will gradually add a grade as our fifth-grade students’ progress each year to the next grade. Eventually, our target student population will grow to K-12. However, secondary students will have separate facilities from primary grade students.
